CVOW Role: Upgrades to the Port of Virginia.

Portsmouth Marine Terminal

The Port of Virginia redeveloped Portsmouth Marine Terminal into a state-of-the-art logistics hub for the U.S. offshore wind industry. This redevelopment transformed 72 acres and 1,500 feet of wharf into a multi-use terminal that is currently supporting Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind.

The port allows vessels supporting CVOW to easily deliver infrastructure onto land, helping the project remain on schedule, and serves as a staging facility for offshore wind turbine components like monopiles, transition pieces, towers and blades.

Portsmouth Marine Terminal is also powered by 100% carbon-free electricity, making it another key step in our goal towards increasingly clean energy.
